Business was booming on
the show floor at our first-ever weekday event. Pet professionals from across the country filled the exhibit hall on both days, creating an energetic and dynamic atmosphere.
We were honoured to welcome exhibitors of all sizes and formats, many of whom proudly featured Canadian-made products. On Sunday, Ryan Mallough, Vice President of Legislative Affairs and Communications at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, took the stage in the Pets Canada Hub. He shared the CFIB’s timely insights on Canada’s current trade environment and its impact on the pet industry. Welcoming our international participants added a truly global dimension to the event, strengthening connections across borders and highlighting the worldwide reach of the pet industry.
Visitors streamed through the aisles, keeping exhibitors engaged and busy as deals were struck. A look at post-show data revealed just how far attendees had traveled to be part of the experience. From the largest retail chains to the trendiest boutique shops and service providers, this was our most diverse audience yet.
On Monday morning, Ken Manzerolle of NielsenIQ presented the latest Canadian market trends. His insights came to life on the show floor, where exhibitors demonstrated the growing popularity of pet health and hygiene products. Brands highlighted innovations in pet care, engagement, and creating healthier shared environments for pets and families alike. Sustainability also stood out across the event, echoing NielsenIQ’s findings that pet owners are increasingly focused on eco-friendly packaging, natural ingredients, and zero-waste solutions.
As an association, we were thrilled by the number of sponsors and supporters who stepped forward to back the show and its many initiatives.
The Pets Canada Community Awards were another highlight, drawing a tremendous crowd to celebrate the passion, commitment, and impact of our industry. This year’s awards even featured a tie in the Pet Services Category! We couldn’t be prouder of our nominees and winners.
