Leis Pet Distributing is a privately owned company with warehouses and offices located in Wellesley,
Ontario and Moncton, New Brunswick. As a full line distributor of pet food and accessories, we
deliver to a network of over 800 independent Retail Pet Food Stores throughout central and southwestern Ontario, northern and eastern Ontario and in the Maritime Provinces. We are celebrating
our 29th year in business by expanding our warehouse facility in Wellesley. Come and join a

We are currently seeking a high-energy, organized, relationship focused Regional Sales Manager
for Ontario and the Maritimes.
Location: Home based office (Ontario)
A Snapshot of the job:
Under the direction of the Director, Business Development, the Regional Sales Manager will be
responsible for delivering excellence in Sales through the support and development of our Sales
Team across Canada, ensuring they have robust account plans, and are on track to meet sales
targets annually. The incumbent will build strong relationships with key stakeholders such as key
customers and our vendor partners. The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the
Marketing, Warehouse and Operations teams to drive sales and service the customer. This position
will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long-term customer relationships with our key
accounts. The Sales Manager is responsible for adopting the core value of “Customer first” and
setting a strong example for the Sales Team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Drive the overall sales growth for Leis Pet and Atlantic Pet Distributing
- Establish quarterly sales targets for the Sales team. Review on a quarterly and annual basis
- Hiring, coaching, and bringing new tools to the Sales team. Focus the team on the 80/20.
- Ride-Alongs with Sales team to visit Specialty Pet Food Retailers
- Track sales activities for the sales team including call reports, sales numbers and approving
expense reports - Work closely with Sales Representatives from manufacturer partners to develop strategic
plans and review sales on a quarterly basis - Meet quarterly with key accounts and chains to assist them with growth of the brand, setting
strategic direction, forecasts, promotions, etc. - Facilitate bi-weekly Sales team meeting
- Attend annual industry tradeshows ie. Global AGM, Distributor shows, Pets Canada shows
- Establish a professional relationship with retail locations and their staff
- Coordinate training with Sales team and manufacturer partners to introduce new products
and specials - Listen to and address any concerns of customers that have been escalated, following up on
any concerns or opportunities - Conduct probationary and annual performance reviews for Sales team
- Update Management on trends in the industry
- Overnight stays as required. Must be available to attend industry Tradeshows and Sales
Meetings 3-4 weekends per year.

What you will bring: - Post-secondary education (College or University) is a strong asset
- Minimum 5 years of Sales Management experience
- Experience in the Pet industry preferred
- Above average communication skills, both oral and written
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Strong team player
- Strong attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
