[Guelph, ON, October 16, 2023] – Ren’s Pets, a leading Canadian specialty retailer of pet food and supplies, is excited to announce that over $59,000 was raised during the annual Dogust campaign this August at Ren’s stores in Ontario and the Maritimes. The campaign was designed to help raise awareness and funds to support pet care. All Ren’s locations collected donations and sold product in support of improving pet’s lives through partners Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in Guelph and Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) in Prince Edward Island.

“The generosity this year from our customers, vendors, and partners was unbelievable,” said Ren’s Pets CEO Scott Arsenault. “We set out hoping to raise more than last year, which we successfully achieved. Our Ren’s team believes wholeheartedly in this cause, of improving pet’s lives through phenomenal pet care, which both OVC and AVC provide. With our focus on raising both awareness and funds, we were able to have an extraordinary Dogust campaign and I couldn’t be prouder of all involved.”

Customers were able to donate in store or online, along with being able to purchase Canadian-made Kandju candy and mystery bags with proceeds going to Dogust. In Ontario, $50,770 was raised for OVC while in the Maritimes, $8,251 was raised for AVC. In total, $59,021 was raised in the overall Dogust campaign for pet care in Canada through our veterinary colleges.

“What an extraordinary moment for supporting pet care in Canada,” shares Larissa Wasyliw, VP Ecommerce & Marketing at Ren’s. “We were able to spread the word about the great work that OVC and AVC does, along with raising monetary funds. Ren’s has always said we’re here for your Pet’s Best Life, and with our Dogust campaign we’re doing exactly that. Thank you to our customers, our team, our vendors, and everyone who supported this amazing campaign.”
