The Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council of Canada (PIJAC Canada) is pleased to announce an extensive rebranding effort to mark its 35th year. At the heart of its rebrand is a change of name from PIJAC Canada to Pets Canada.
“Over the past 35 years, we have been committed to promoting ethical business practices, responsible pet ownership, and sustainable development in the pet industry,” said Christine Carrière, President and CEO, Pets Canada. “As we evolve with the times, our new name better reflects our mission and values, and we are excited to continue supporting responsible pet businesses and the advancement of animal care under our new brand.”
Pets Canada is a national, not-for-profit organization that works closely with government, industry, and non-governmental organizations to ensure that Canada’s pet industry is regulated responsibly and ethically. The organization is committed to providing leadership and support to the Canadian pet industry and promoting the highest animal care and welfare standards.

While the organization’s name has changed, its commitment to its members and partners remains unchanged. Pets Canada will continue to be a trusted source of information and education. In addition, it will work to ensure that Canada’s pet industry is regulated responsibly and ethically.
